As part of a large-scale modernization program for Ministry of Defence Service Family Accommodation (SFA), RIGBY spearheaded the comprehensive internal refurbishment of 36 residential properties at Weeton Barracks. Our role focused on bringing these “married quarters” up to a modern, high-performance standard, ensuring a comfortable and functional living environment for military families.
The project involved a full-scale interior overhaul, including:
- Modernised Heating Systems: Installation of new, energy-efficient boilers to improve thermal comfort and reduce carbon footprints.
- Electrical Upgrades: Complete electrical works across all properties to ensure compliance with the latest safety standards and accommodate modern power needs.
- Interior Fit-Out & Maintenance: Targeted refurbishment of internal spaces to refresh void properties and prepare them for incoming families.
Despite the complexities of working within an active military environment and adapting schedules as properties transitioned from void to occupied status, our team maintained a high pace of delivery. By integrating these technical upgrades with broader site improvements, we have helped ensure that the accommodation at Weeton Barracks provides a lasting, high-quality home for those who serve.
