1. Our Commitment

We recognise that supporting local economies and communities not only strengthens our business, but also contributes to sustainable, thriving places for people to live and work.

This Social Value Strategy sets out our commitments to supporting local employment, fostering inclusivity, protecting the environment, and strengthening our community.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that our Social Values and commitment to sourcing materials and recruiting staff locally are shared by our suppliers and subcontractors, wherever possible.

2. Priorities & Actions

Local Employment & Skills

Recruit from the local workforce, prioritising Southport and the Liverpool City Region.

Offer at least one apprenticeship or trainee placement per year, supporting young people and those returning to work.

Partner with schools & colleges to provide career talks, mentoring, and work experience — aiming for at least 10 volunteer hours per year.

Use local suppliers and subcontractors wherever possible to keep value in the community.

Community Support

Sponsor or contribute to local sports clubs, youth groups, and community events.

Volunteer at least 20 hours annually to support community projects, charities, or clean-up initiatives.

Environmental Responsibility

Reduce our carbon footprint by:

Transitioning to electric/hybrid company vehicles where possible.

Minimising travel and optimising routes.

Recycling electrical waste responsibly and using sustainable materials.

Help customers cut their energy use by promoting and installing LED lighting, EV charge points, and energy-saving solutions.

Inclusivity & Wellbeing

Provide equal opportunities to all, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Promote employee wellbeing through a safe, respectful, and supportive working environment.

Work with partners who share our commitment to ethical and inclusive practices.

3. Measuring & Reporting

We will track and report our social value activities annually, measuring:

Local jobs & apprentices created.

Volunteer & mentoring hours given.

Community sponsorships & contributions.

CO₂ savings & waste reduction.

Spend with local suppliers.

These outcomes will be shared with clients, partners, and stakeholders to demonstrate our ongoing commitment
